I want to connect to xbox live. My computer is connected to the internet but it is on the other side of the house from the TV. I’m wondering if it is possible to use the XBox’s wireless controller hardware to connect to my computer and then the internet.

Nope, sorry it is not possible to use a controller to connect your Xbox 360 with the internet as the controllers hardware is only compatible with the Xbox 360 and no other device/router. well i have seen controllers made for your xbox 360 and for your computer you have to buy it somewhere.
i dont know were bu i have seen them.
there are corded controllers that can do that and i can say they work great for both
